Woodland Trust Update!
I would like to thank all of the children and their families for showing such a kind and generous response to our class charity. I have been overwhelmed by the donations and amount of interest that has been shown in the work that the Woodland Trust do. As such, I would like to share some of their activities and the children’s work with you all.

What a fantastic first full week we have had in J6; everyone has worked really hard and all of the children are settling into their new year group really well. I am so proud of them all for transitioning to beautifully from Year 4 into Year 5!
I would like to share with you a letter and the curriculum overview for the year, you can find the links below. Don’t forget to keep an eye on our Twitter page for day to day updates of what we are getting up to!
Thursday 6th September
Welcome to year 5 everybody and thank you for all the happy, smiling and smart faces that I was so pleased to meet yesterday. You should all be very PROUD of how our first day went! Everyone has been given a new Learning Log, this is instead of a homework book or folder. With the Learning Log there was a letter, a homework grid and your child’s ‘Wish List’. We are very excited, in Year 5, to be able to trial this new way of providing homework tasks and the response I had form J6 yesterday was exactly the same. Here are copies of the letter and the homework grid … just in case!
